Throwing it back to a 2021 wedding today! Kayla booked me basically sight unseen when she saw a family session that I did of some mutual acquaintances. I knew right then and there that she was my girl, and we were going to be vibing forever. Kayla and Devin chose to have their engagement session at Knox Farm State Park, and I shared a whole bunch of photos from that dreamy session here.
Kayla and Devin moved their wedding up by an entire year to accommodate the health of special family members, and that meant moving the venue of their wedding to Devin's parents' backyard. They set up a gorgeous white tent, and it was evident that the whole day was a labor of love from so many people around them.
Kayla got ready at her and Devin's apartment, so I spent the morning there with the girls and the videographer. After the girls were all dressed, I met Devin and the groomsmen at Devin's parents' house and did some photos there. Then we all went to the church for the ceremony! After the ceremony and family photos, the bridal party traveled to Sprague Brook Park for portraits.
This was my first experience with the groomsmen racing for a beer for photos-- but I put my body on the line and got the shots 😂 Seriously though, such a fun and kind group of people. We had a blast.
Then it was back to the reception where we just barely made it under the tent before the rain started. It rained for a while, and then cleared off and just sprinkled here and there for the rest of the night. We took advantage with a few umbrella photos before I left.
Kayla and Devin: thank you for the relationship that we've built together. I'm so grateful for you both!
